Other bags that look to be ‘not quilted’ simply have a sewn-on loose outer on a quilted back for cosmetic effect! ‘ReflectaTherm’ barrierWithin the filling of the SNUGPAK ‘Merlin Softie 3’ and ‘Black-on-Black’ bags is a unique and breathable, metalised surface, space-exploration material called ‘ReflectaTherm’. This reflects 15% of body heat back into the bag without any significant weight or volume penalty. And it definitely is not an aluminium type foil as used in some cheaper imitations, which only creates sweating in an enclosed bag. Top Quality MaterialsSnugpak bags are lined with the world renowned breathable Pertex outers as used in expensive down filled bags. The new UK designed Snugpak CHRYSALIS range of thermally innovative sleeping bags is now available in Australia. Sleeping cramped is now a thing of the past. How often have you used a sleeping bag which has restricted your movement when turning or changing sleeping positions? The Snugpak CHRYSALIS sleeping bags swell as you move and turn when sleeping in the bag. It allows you to sleep curled up without feeling cramped. Just like the caterpillar chrysalis, the new Snugpak sleeping bags are made for movement and growth with enough expansion allowing you to even sit cross-legged whilst reading or having a cuppa in the tent. The secret is in the CHRYSALIS baffle system pioneered by Snugpak, (UK’s biggest manufacturer of sleeping bags). In normal use the bag boasts all the features of a traditional sleeping bag, but the jumbo zip baffle can be opened out to give much more room within the bag.
