miry Mountain Bike Orienteering Map Holder
The MIRY is a rotational mountain bike map holder that attaches via its purpose-built alloy clamps to the bike’s handlebars which are then tightened with allen keys to give a sure and stable fit that will not slip.
The rotating turntable board is supported by the edgeof a large fibre ring which keeps the mapboard verysecure and virtually vibration free. The tension on the turntable rotation can be adjusted to individual preference.
Maps can be securely fitted to the mapboard and a compass, like the Silva Map Guide model 19 (RRP $27), can be clamped on the side of the board enabling the platform to be rotated to align North of the map with the North end of the compass needle. This ensures that the direction of your travel always coincides with the directionon the map.
The MIRY map holder is constructed from a lightweight alloy, is extremely rugged and almost unbreakable.
Made in Czechoslovakia the standard MIRY mapboard retails for $139 (inc GST) and also now available is the bigger 31.8mm handlebars model for $155 (inc GST).
